Located in a serene, leafy suburb of Nairobi on Ngecha Rd, this 3 bedroom 3,000 sq.ft. house was designed for natural light, ventilation and views of treetops nearby. The Client wanted a modern classic feel to the house that fits in well with the houses in the neighbourhood and has indoor / outdoor connections as much as possible. The result was a well lit house with two ground floor terraces and a master balcony that take in the sights of sounds of serenity; a double height dining area; a kitchen with an exterior countertop for entertaining; a living room with exposed wood beams; and the use of warm materials. Comfort, functionality and a relationship with the outdoors was the aim of the game here.
